Grub who laughed as he smashed up 68 Christian graves in a Sydney cemetery walks free from court with a hijab-wearing friend - then celebrates with selfies and a cigarette

There would be no point in that.

You can correct one or two errors in a post that is otherwise founded in reality but when such a mess comes along you only give it validation by addressing it seriously. That is a common trap.

If you want to use that technique yourself, it's not easy but this is how it goes: You make an outlandish statement, that is based in several wrong and maybe one or two right assumptions and uses faulty logic to come to a weird conclusion. The main strength is, that no single argument can prove all your mistakes wrong. Then, when someone points out all the mistakes, you can dismiss every counter-argument individually by showing, how that argument does not address certain points of your thesis. Bonus points for making up more and more wrong facts and data along the way. In the end, as long as you just make up more stuff, it will look like both positions are equally valid.

Of course, just pointing out the ridiculousness and not correcting it will not convince someone who believe such of his wrongness but then again, noting on the Internet ever will, so my post is more directed at everyone else who might come across this and might take his post serious otherwise.
