We are not a bunch of Rebels fighting the British any more. There is no way we can fight the United States government in this era. Think about the weaponry and training the “tyrannical government” has. I mean even our largest protests are dismantled by police and national guard. We are already saying police are getting military style weapons and vehicles, so what could we do with a bunch of AR-15’s against the national guard, Army, Navy, Air-force and Marines? They would take out any uprising in less than a week, if the entire country was involved, which won’t be the case because people like their comforts that they have now. The amount of tanks, and aerial assault vehicles that they have would roll right over us. Those days are gone! What we need is less people arguing online and only caring about the state of our political affairs during election times, and more people working in their communities year round with the government to deal with the small issues that roll up to big ones. Our regulations are one sided, which allow our government to be that powerful, and most politicians are left to work on their own interests not ours. Volunteer, get involved, make your towns, and states better and eventually the country will get better. We can’t do it just sitting around talking about it all day until the next event. If you are wondering, I volunteer as a police officer, and people call me crazy because we don’t get guns, or even vests, but we do get to engage the police department as citizens, you do get to meet the chief of police, the mayor, and city government and they respect you and listen to you because you are out there making a difference. It may be small, but if more people did it, who knows what may happen...
