When I said video games are art, I meant it the way I said it. They can be something amazing. some thing incredible, life is strange for example. That games pretty and has an amazing story. Batman has good way of combat, portal has large set of puzzles, and a good commentary. A good game plans for everything. Like the Stanly parable or a few times in portal 2. For example, (spoilers of portal 2) when wetly wants to kill you and when you stat to get away, hell tell you to come back, if you do hell say “oh, you came back. I didn’t plan for this. Ummm, how but this you jump down the pit, yea I know it sounds crazy butt, ummm. Oh your parents are down there. Yea your parents, and a boy band girls love that don’t the” My point is that these aren’t just pixels on a flat pane, these are another way of telling a story, but it dose something that no other form of story telling dose, it interacts with you, a simple COD game doesn’t have much of a story, games like halo, portal, destiny (if you look for it) they all take you on a story, like in half life 2, when you beat the train and get though a gap you wouldn’t get though normally. But if you do, when you see the train wises by, it’s incredible. When you kill that boss, save that little girl, find your team, get all 20 heats, these things are there to make you fell pride in the story you made. That is how you get someone involved and invested, all painters felt that once when they painted, a reason to invest. If they didn’t have that feeling, then why did they spend time to make it? That man in the article felt that. The same reason I’ve played life is strange 3 times, I want to do something that I want to make right, I want to do something that I did wrong and I don’t want to mess it up. That drive is what keeps me hear, I want to learn new games to put that drive into when I did my last objective. This medium is art, and some of our pride comes from it, don’t be ashamed of what other people enjoy, I want the best for this medium. But we each there without accepting each other, so as a medium, we must get off our ass as the thing we love is being attacked my people who don’t share our drive.
