Marriage on activities section?

I would not count marriage as an extracurricular activity, which is typically what you put in this section. I am married and have a toddler. Planning and hosting a wedding, being a wife, being pregnant, and becoming a mother have been really significant and have also taken up lots of my time. My husband is also a green card holder so we had many months of dealing with immigration hoops. That said, I will not be listing any of those things in the activities section, and I would worry that someone who does is the type to make their relationship their whole personality. To me, family is not an activity. Look at the categories for the types of things they’re interested in (employment, clinical, volunteering, teaching, arts, sports, hobbies, social justice, research, awards, etc). Now if you hike with your family or do regular game nights or something, you can list those things as hobbies.
