People today pick emotion over logic. Logically, it is obviously because of China (the CCP) to be precise, but because of the emotional attachment that they don’t want to admit that Apple is an evil company that support both the liberal establishment and the CCP (I am NOT a Trump supporter). Why is it “feature” (restriction) is because of China:

1. ⁠This restriction was rolled out FIRST in China, right the time at the protest where the Chinese tried to spread protest material by AirDrop. If this is actually a new feature, not a bias for any country, then Apple will release it equally for all countries AT THE SAME TIME in their new iOS version since there is no hardware limitation to limit it in any specific country.
2. ⁠THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON WHY IT IS BECAUSE OF CHINA: Apple can just keep the option “everyone” besides the new option “everyone for 10 minutes” to give people more choices. Apple can just give people TWO EVERYONE OPTIONS - “everyone” and “everyone for 10 minutes”. But Apple just eliminate the option “everyone” entirely to bring the only restriction “everyone in 10 minutes” to cover their action of supporting the CCP. Any non-biased people with their objective view can see this fact clearly.
3. ⁠My friend was permanently banned from Reddit because he debunked Apple's support of both the CCP and the liberal establishment. He told people that the CCP and the Liberal establishment are two sides of the same coin - they are both CONTROLLED OPPOSITIONS. And then he was permanently banned. Therefore, I don’t want to tell you more things about this AirDrop issue because I don’t want to suffer the same as my friend. But if this account is permanently banned in the future, you know why.
