I honestly despise comments like this because it's always someone trying to act like they're an expert on something because they've done it once.

I can tell you that legitimately everything you learn ice skating transfers to roller skates except how to stop, and, how sharply you can turn. Crossovers, pivoting, all that shit is nearly the same, or exactly the same.

This part makes zero sense because a majority of what a hockey player is doing is edgework.

This has absolutely zero relevance unless you play hockey in figure skates. Some people keep their feet flat and push off at a 45, some people lean into it and use more of their toes. It doesn't matter, really.
