Long time season ticket holder here and I travel to away games often. I’ve learned a few things.

1. There are a lot of away fans lately. I suspect a lot of “Seahawks fans” are cashing in on the team’s success and selling their seats for profit. You shouldn’t have problems getting a ticket but it’s going to be pricey.

2. Typically we as a fan base (and others from experience) will give the other teams fans a little hell but it’s all in good fun and at the end of the night will buy you a beer and make sure you get to your hotel safe. Just remember, there is nearly 70K people there. With that said only .1% are probably crazy/drunk enough to spend a night in jail but that still means there are at least 70 people in the building you want to avoid. Don’t find those people. Also, remember that this is our home, our house so keep the swears down and remember, it’s never “YOU” suck it’s always “YOUR” team sucks. Never get personal, never take it personal. Also, there should be an area outside the stadium where Panthers fans will group up. Meet up and have some fun. They will welcome you like family.

3. When the Hawks are on Defense we stand and make noise. On Offense we sit and are quiet. It will annoy fans if you’re out of sync with the home teams rhythm. Again, .1% of the fans may take it personal. Have a good time, support your team but don’t make yourself a target of some idiots aggression either.

4. If you’ve never been to those places you might as well. They are touristy but are for a reason. Pike Place is a short walk from Westlake plaza. Take the Monorail from there to the Space Needle to say that you have done that.

5. No suggestions, I live here. Never stayed in a hotel. When I’ve traveled I’ve lucked out on Hotwire though.

6. It’s a city stadium. Avoid parking and take mass transit when possible in town. Don’t be afraid to walk. Parking is expensive and traffic can really suck.
