Hey folks, I've been lurking here for the past few weeks and using it the same way every other user has. I'm going to go ahead and suck you all off by going to great lengths to talk about how you're a "surprisingly supportive subreddit". I'll even pretend that "not many other game-specific subreddits manage that", even though that's blatantly untrue on even the most cursory review, and I'll bullshit further by giving the throwawy non-praise that "your criticism is for the most part constructive and useful", which again, is generally true of game-specific subreddits in general even if the devs pointedly avoid browsing riddot because sifting through even a 60/40 ratio of whining to valid criticism is a waste of time. So you might have heard that I was considering putting up some sort of tutorial or primer video for Warframe, because I'm a self-aggrandizing idiot who just enjoys being slavered over by niche game communities now that I've disgraced myself by supporting the worst parts of the gaming community and actively aligning myself with creepy fucktards like the gooblegato losers and the "Sarkeesian Effect" morons. Most of the gameplay is self explanatory but I feel like I really need to do some spadework to generate any interest in me at all so I can continue to make money by sitting in a fucking chair instead of getting a real job. I spent a few hours today sitting on my ass and saying shit everybody figures out about warframe after playing it for more than half an hour. I'd like to let you guys listen to it and tell me how great I am for condescending to DE, a developer who has given this game way more support than they can probably afford and is working off a shoestring budget as-is while dealing with a playerbase that is increasingly entitled. "Is there anything key I've missed? Did I make any mistakes?" I don't care, I won't actually read anything except the comments telling me how great I am and offering me money to play video games. That said it's really easy to convince yourself you did a good job when your only audience is desperate for the wider gaming community to stop referring to one of their favorite games as "pay to win". Verification that its me is more or less irrelevant, because this is the internet and I'm not actually posting this on my youtube page, the only form of verification that has any real meaning in this situation.
