House of Wolves was the Best Era for PvE Content

I'm so confused. Like, really confused. Maybe I don't know what you mean by era, but the House of Wolves gear did not go up to 365, and I'm pretty sure infusion wasn't a thing. There also wasn't a "raid" in HoW - only Prison of Elders. Also, Fatebringer, Spindle, and Fang were in VoG and Crota's End. And, no content has been very "relevant" in Destiny once the next thing comes out - it's just how it's worked. Those 150 damage weapons from VoG do nothing for new PvE content.

Now, you are entitled to your own opinion, but HoW was completely phoned in. The "endgame" activity was nowhere near the level that the raids have been - including Crota's End which I'm not a big fan of. I'll agree that Skolas is actually one of the best boss encounters (minus the dismantling mechanic), but Prison of Elders was horribly designed otherwise. As for other PvE content, I think The Taken King reigns supreme. After the meaningful storyline of actually chasing down a huge boss, there was an absolute fuck ton of stuff to do. There were multiple side quests, hidden quests, hidden items, and a mostly fantastic raid to top it off. The new raid is an absolute blast as well. Personally, HoW was the complete bottom of the barrel for me in terms of PvE content.
