How do you cope with feeling overwhelmed?

Have you checked out r/antiwork? A lot of people feel the same way. The way you're feeling could very well be normal, and I myself wonder how people do a 45+ hour a week job, spend their weekends and evenings cleaning/cooking/shopping and still feel fine knowing this continues for another 30+ years.

The answer is that a lot of people have coping mechanisms like drugs, alcohol, uppers. I've tried exercise but it doesn't work for me because that's not going to make the next 30 years of snatched personal time here and there bearable.

Other people cope because they have wealthy parents with connections and they're never really going to be in huge problems if things don't work out.

If you found you enjoyed freelancing more, is there a way to just continue that? Otherwise maybe your industry is very demanding, is there a chance of finding a more low-key job in your field?
