How a dead officer’s iPhone exposes misogyny, corruption and racism in a police force - TheTimes

I mean its hardly surprising that some officers that joined the police in the late nineties are sexists and racist. The boys club attitude was how the police used to be back then... Ever watched life on Mars? Well they are the cops who taught these cops how to police.

I'd be willing to bet most jobs have a couple old blokes who are nearing retirement who are misogynistic and racist, they might not be open about it but they are there making jokes between themselves. I can guarantee that these blokes are also in group chats exactly the same as those coppers. Ever seen a builders group chat? What about a uni rugby club?

Does it make it okay? Of course not, especially since these are people In power but I certainly think this isn't just a police issue.
