How to deal with being the only Democrat in a Republican family

Everyone has an opinion. Love people regardless of their beliefs. If they are good people, they are good people. Stop trying to debate. The dinner table isn’t for politics. Walk away if you feel uncomfortable. Most families have different political views. I’m partial to what I’m about to say, but life is very short and I promise arguing with parents over political (unless it’s about your well being directly) is not often worth it at the end of the day. I say this from personal 2016 election experience. I regret a lot of stuff I said at some dinner tables. I get it, I do, but just don’t debate. If it’s a brick wall, it’s a brick wall.
