I took some written exams there during one semester, for a master’s degree in physics.

I guess, it of course depends on subject/professor, but my experience was that the written exams were not particularly difficult. They were not easy per se, but did not contain any crazy questions either, if you knew well the content of the lecture, you could do the bulk of it.

The difficulty I had was the timing. The exams I has were 1 or 2 hours long, and they contained a lot of short/medium length questions instead of long problems, so it was essential to select which ones to respond to efficiently.

Hope this helps. On a side note, even if your professor did not provide sample questions, I’d suggest you to find a way somehow to get information on past years exams, maybe try contacting senior students. That really helps. Good luck ^{^}
