How do interspecies romances/friendships work in your world?

I don't know how to make non-human psychology, so probably not. But the "little people" (halflings, iron/rock/sand dwarves, trolls, gnomes, toadmen, etc) generally don't care for sex as much as other species do and just do it to keep up their species. Gnomes are cold and analytical, iron dwarves and to a lesser extent rock dwarves are less social and like mining, building, etc for long periods of time without talking to anyone except out of necessity (e.g. "here, smelt this ore for me".) Halflings and sand dwarves are kind of light-hearted and silly. A lot of the species in the setting, like minotaurs, giants, dragonspawn, ettins, and others are more likely to be aggressive and violent than humans. High elves and to a lesser extent dark elves like to take their time to speak to one another rather than cutting each other off mid-sentence, they don't drone on and on but they do have "longer lines" than people do and prefer to describe things with more than just one or two words. As for humans themselves in my setting, they care more about law and order than other people do, except perhaps the iron dwarves, naga and lunarians.

All of these traits can be associated with/seen in humans, so like I said, they are probably not wildly different psychologies. I don't know if any fictional species have psychologies completely unlike what can be seen in humans in the real world.
