How do you get invited to a party when you don't have any friends?

Yeah I'm going to get like 160k of debt

"Well, aside from that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?"

but at least I'll learn how to make video games

No you won't.

Game developers are just software developers. The game design major is utterly useless as it doesn't even attempt to teach you to program. Their Computer Science and Game Design degree at least looks kind of like a computer science degree (it's pretty light on actual CS courses), but it's still going to be useless because everybody, especially hiring managers at game dev companies who deal with this shit all the time, know that all for-proft schools are degree mills with easy classes and shitty "professors". You'd come out of that major a terrible programmer, I guarantee it. Game dev is actually a fairly challenging career; there's no room for terrible programmers.

And maybe the students will be nerdy enough for me to finally make friends

As a fellow CS student, I can guarantee you that we are plenty nerdy for you.

Also the cost is about the same as an out of state college so it's not the worst thing ever.

Paying that much for an OOS college would be almost as stupid (at least you'd have a degree to show for that insane amount of debt...)

TL;DR: Drop out of that scam right now and enroll in the CS program at one of the great public universities you have available to you in NC.
