I'm a 120 kg dude who is attempting to get into jogging or/and lifting routine without ruining his knees. Should I purchase an exercise bike?

Save your money.

Walks take time which is far more important than money. According to my Endomondo statistics, less than 10 calories are burnt per minute. That's 1 hour and 40 minutes for 1000 calories burnt. With preparation and post-walking facial and cranium cleaning this number gets to 2 hours.

The very best thing these 2 hours can be spent on is listening to music or podcasts using my Bluetooth headphones. This is possible only thanks to an investment I already made: Bluetooth headphones. On an exercise bicycle I shall be able to at least to watch to movies from my backlog or even read useful books.

Not only that but also walking outside poses danger of being mugged and/or murdered.

The most important thing is limiting your calories to a deficit.

This goal clearly was achieved as demonstrated by my weight loss.

MyFitnessPal

A SaaS package for emotionally and physically weak. I achieved the same functionality using an Excel spreadsheet and openly available USDA Food Composition Database accessible in a form of an Excel spreadsheet as well.

Even though my new diet with no added sugars and portioned food was demonstrated to be working for my weight loss, I did not use my Excel spreadsheet yet. Words cannot even describe the efficiency my fitness improvements shall achieve once I start logging my food in aforesaid spreadsheet next month.
