I had various connections and Affairs over about a 2.5 year period. I had a burner to keep my own phone clean. But the pandemic made for a trade off of having a second phone around (unexplainable) versus having an app on my phone. I ended up thinking the risk to having one app for connection when little moments arose made sense. But that ultimately led to discovery when I fell asleep without logging out and closing the window. My wife watched a movie on my phone and as she was closing that out found the other chat app. The whole gig was up.

My wife had NO IDEA until that moment. I’d told no one. Had used cash to buy prepaid credit cards to pay for the other phone. Had it hidden deep…. My patterns with my wife and life were no different. It was by lies of omission more than commission.

Yet in the end… I didn’t do a good enough job. I now see there are ways to manage phones I didn’t know. Now, I’d delete the app every time I close out. That would have preserved my main and long term affair (some of the best human connection and mind blowing orgasms ever).
