How many of you have been diagnosed with a mental illness?

Do you have any links or recommendations on what exactly has worked for you?

I'd suggest watch some of the videos on their website.

My impression is that this is not some big organization trying to rip you off, but rather just making a living on something he invented, that happens to be very helpful to people.

Also search around youtube, you'll find people performing the exercises but as far as I could look there's no videos going into detail about how to perform them on youtube.

I would really just say buy the book, it's totally worth it if not just to see if it works. If you're really hesitant about paying then maybe obtain it... otherwise, and buy the book later if it worked.

I learned all the exercises from the book and, after watching some youtube videos, there's also a DVD around somewhere if you like to learn that way. Just search for Trauma Releasing Exercises on amazon and the book and dvd will show up.

What exactly are they?

The guy who made the method apparently has a history of helping people with trauma. He invented this method, wrote a book and decided he could earn some money while helping people. After all if you want to make something big, making a business out of it seems like a good idea. Look at their page linked above and take what you want from it.

Is there a technical name of the treatment that I could formally research (in Google Scholar et cetera?). Thanks.

The only research done are founded by themselves, and you can find it on their webpage. I haven't looked into it, I honestly don't feel the need to when I have experienced first hand that it works.

Hope this helps!
