How on earth do Saudis keep losing their proxy wars with way poorer and isolated Iran?

Honestly, as an Iranian? The regime can't control it's own PEOPLE.

Every now and then they make up a stupid excuse and cut off the internet like it's nothing, perfect example would be what happened in abadan this year (people protested against the regime, they threw tear gas and shot a bunch of people, including a child, response? Cut off the internet, no apology, nothing).

A bunch of losers who can't manage ANYTHING, all they have left are those who are easily brainwashed by their non-stop propaganda. They have a lack of basic human rights, even if you're a Sunni they throw you into a prison and torture you for hours (I read an autobiography of a Sunni that escaped into Pakistan, the descriptions he gave were horrific, they even tried to assassinate him, he died because they injected him with poison when he was being tortured), let alone a christian or jew, it's AWFUL. They arrest people who stand up against this nonsense, I mean, are you kidding me? (Thankfully very brave women are scaring the government by saying no to mandatory hijab, which even some muslims in the country support).

Iran's not winning at anything, it's losing in almost every way. The very fact that you're on reddit and not some heavily censored alternative is already a loss for them.
