How I survived a house invasion

You can live anywhere. It depends on the person. I've had an ex boyfriend tell me he didn't like watching me cut tiles for my kitchen wall because my arms looked so masculine while I was doing it (he was sitting on the couch). I've had men squeeze my biceps while I'm carrying plates at a restaurant as a teenager. I have exactly the same sentiment. As a short woman, my first defence is talking my way out of something and my second is running faster than other people, third is being strong. But I don't kid myself. I've play wrestled with an ex 16 years older than me who never hit the gym and he easily overpowered me despite not being that tall. Men start off with a strength advantage so you can to work really hard to match them. I can outrun a decent percentage of men though which gives me some confidence (verified by comparing fun run times :)
