I tend to read between the lines.

A lot of fans knew we had no money during the stadium move...yet the club would come out and say things like "we have the money...Wenger doesn't want to spend it"

It's PR, we could not, as a club come out and say we're struggling...and need to be tight financially...

Yet fans were upset at Wenger during this time for not spending...

To be honest, Wenger over performed in those years...heck we should have won the league in 08..we were lucky to have him.

If you consider how tight the budget was...and how crap some of the players we had...it was remarkable.

Teams like Tottenham and Liverpool struggled with a much higher budget to get cl qualification.

But...now the stadium move is done, now we as fans pay the most out of the league for tickets/season tickets...now is the time to spend/invest... But the owner doesn't want to...

I don't mind a PR lie for the benefit of the club...the lie I'm angry about, is that once the move is done, it will enable us to compete with the top clubs...okay...it's done...COMPETE NOW.

I believe Wenger is only staying because he loves the club and wants to steady the ship before that happens...do I have proof? No..again I'm reading between the lines.

It's more plausible than some of the accusations thrown around.
