I think they dropped the ball with the feminist club vs gaming club story. The feminist club points felt like the typical talking points that the media associates with video games like violence and sexualization but it didnt work for the game they were talking about. The writers didnt take into account that most people who play games can separate game from reality so the violence point falls off. The points they made do happen but the feminist club made it sound like they were blaming all video games for causing violence against women rather than going into the actual gatekeeping that can happen in gaming which would have been a better approach to the subject. Plus in the episode hunter was willing to compromise but then the writers had to make him be islamophobic in order for the audience to automatically be on the feminist clubs side versus letting the audience decide on their own. Incels like hunter do exist so that was accurate. Overall, I wish they took a more nuanced approach rather than the one side bad one side good approach they took.
