If all this occult, mystical, esoteric, spiritual, etc... knowledge is as real and objective as people claim, then why doesn't most people know, practice, and accept it?

Because 1. Reddit has a subreddit dedicated to nearly every topic out there, 2. A lot of people are too unmotivated to practice magic or even pursue serious study (practical occult work is hard work, and the reading can get quite heavy). 3. Mainstream (secular/atheist/materialist) society doesn't accept it, and religion usually demonizes it, so that's two major subsets of the population who are opposed to it. 3. While there is some overlap between the "spiritual-but-not-religious" crowd and the occult, they cannot seem to move beyond their New Age paradigm (astrology, "feel-good" spirituality, psychics), and most likely have no idea how deep "spirituality" goes and how wild, risky, and dark it can be. 4. When practicing the occult, you're mostly on your own if something goes seriously wrong unless you are under the supervision and guidance of a genuine teacher or order.
