It’s a myth people in America do that. Trust me, if you think you’ve got something seriously wrong you won’t even think about the cost, you’ll just go. The sooner the better, it will cost you less in the long run. They have payment plans available, it’s not like they throw you in prison for not paying your bill. Worst case scenario it hurts your credit until you pay it off. If you do die, your family will have to pay it or if no family, its going to be covered by the hospital insurance and other programs that are in place to make sure the health workers get paid.

The only thing people put off in America is shit that their too lazy to keep up with or isn’t that serious, so they say fuck it and don’t bother going.

It’s got less to do with finances, because trust me if you feel like death you’re going to go because worst case you die and don’t have to pay anyways lmao.
