seems like this is a pretty common reaction on this sub. you love mystery show but totally understand this decision/appreciate that they make a difficult decision like this.

but do y'all really love mystery show? i guess maybe y'all are just more mature than me, but i can't imagine loving the show as much as i do and then being almost immediately okay with this decision; the stuff that's been put out by starlee & the gimlet people about it so far hasn't really changed how i feel about it.

the appreciation i have for gimlet is based on their content/people, and mystery show was my favorite piece of gimlet content/starlee was my favorite gimlet person. i guess i'm not mad, but i'm just significantly less of a gimlet fan now.

conceivably mystery show was just stealing money from all the other gimlet shows in which case i would understand the decision, but i don't see why we should automatically assume that/assume the best of gimlet/alex (not to say we should assume the worst either)
