I'm starting a check cashing/payday loan business. Any words of wisdom from the sub?

However, if it does follow the shady practices that the current industry does, those people are going to be mugging me to pay back your interest.

Shady, huh?

Yah bud... I think you the other poster need to do a little more research before you pass judgement.

Do you think the big banks overdraft fees, stupid costs to have a small checking account, returned check fees, and so on are fair? Do you think that credit cards are fair for people who cannot manage their money?

I mean, let's face it - at least payday loan centers are upfront about their costs. The borrower knows exactly what he/she is going to be paying. Banks and their hidden/exorbitant fees? Miss a payment on a credit card? Fahgettaboutit!

I love how people are so quick to judge a capitalistic venture when pretty much EVERYTHING is taking advantage of a supply/demand situation.

Every read about that stupid Tom's shoe company? First of all they've ruined the shoe industries of the countries they "donate" shoes to. Secondly, the shoes cost something like $5 to make but they sell them for $50. Seriously - look it up!

I do love John Oliver. But, yes, I would use every means available to make the most money I can. I am a business owner and a capitalist.
