in-person support groups or outpatient services for alcoholism

My bf is in AA. There seems to be plenty of meetings anywhere you go, and there is a website he uses where you can check local AA meetings in your area (he’s not from here so he was like a visitor at the meeting). My bf doesn’t believe in God, and he uses God as a metaphor when there are references to religion. He is also 27: there are people from not even drinking age to the age of a great grandpa so you’re never alone. There are also specific young-peoples AA groups (there is at least one in Portland, not sure about Eugene), and there are women-only groups as well because AA tends to have a heavy male member base. AA helped my dad get sober, and while he hasn’t gone in decades it was a start to him. AA helped my bf get sober and it’s keeper him sober for 4+ years! Best of luck, I know addiction is tough but you’re TUFFFERR
