Solstice scents - wardrobe Creamy woods blend with cashmere, fur, velvet and a touch of dry woody spice

Hmmmmmm I am so confused. This smells EXACTLY like runestone on me. Like straight up cold dark patch and smoky skunky vetiver??
I wonder if my sample was filled with the wrong thing ~

Thankfully it was just a free sample, but I was really looking forward to trying this out. Did anyone get these notes in theirs or can envision it going off that way?
I’m just sitting here smelling this like... WOOF. it’s runestone 100% undeniably. And runestone is not a scent that loves me hahaha. It goes so horribly sour on me that I can taste it and it permeates my senses. Help.

I let this sit on me for about 30 minutes before I had to scrub my wrist raw, even tried putting rubbing alcohol on it and then interchangeably scrubbing with soap and a washcloth several times and it’s still lingering.

Later on - For some reason my anxiety ridden brain decided it was proper to have a panic attack from the weird cognitive surprise of that. Thanks brain!

Then I slathered on poesie - messe de menuit Catholic church incense, frosted cranberries, balsam fir garlands, old wooden pews Which was a poor decision because in my previous test it this I felt like it was a very pretty scent but something about it reminds me more of funerals rather than church.... annnnd it still does. so THAT definitely didn’t help my panic attack.

Hopped in the shower and slathered on comfort stuff. (SS’s Snowshoe pass on one arm and Hexennacht’s santal vanille on the other.) and I’m finally doing better now.

Well that was certainly a journey.
