The information is conflicting

I hate these kinds of questions because honestly, even if your school offers 30 ap classes lets say, you shouldn't have to take half or even close to half of those classes for your schedule to be considered "rigorous", or taking the hardest classes at your school. Why does that matter and why is being accepted to college nowadays based on how hard your high school classes are instead of how qualified/fit an applicant is and if they are at least good at what they enjoy doing. Anyways, do what's best for you with or without the consideration of the context at your school and I'd like to think at least that the number of ap classes you have will not make or break your application
