Illegal AP World Test Thread

What do you guys think of these groupings? This is how I grouped my essays:

DBQ:

  • Women wanted more political rights
  • Groups of people that advocated for more women's rights
  • Men who didn't want women women to get more political rights

CCOT:

I wrote two paragraphs showing change and one showing continuities

Changes:

  • Ruling powers in different regions of the world changed over time + changes from the Mongols
  • Over time, new goods started being traded, like gunpowder, newer porcelain, gold, etc.
  • Introduction of Islam encouraged trade, which bolstered the economy
  • Introduction of the Gold-Salt Trade network bolstered African economy

Continuities:

  • The same goods were traded over time, regardless of the fact that new ones appeared or newer versions were made
  • The same general regions participated in trade, regardless of the fact that ruling powers changed
  • Trade networks like the Silk Road always existed and trade among them always happened, regardless of whether they may have been used more/less during different periods of time

COM/CON (American/French):

I'm not sure if it's fine to write 2 body paragraphs, but that is what I did. I wrote one paragraph on similarities and one paragraph on differences, and they were chock full of information. This was by far the easiest of the 3 essays for me.

Similarities:

  • Influences from Enlightenment Ideas (talked a little about Rousseau's Social Contract and John Locke's ideas)
  • Increased taxes (Stamp/Sugar Act for US and just taxes to pay for France's past wars)

I know I put another similarity but I just can't seem to remember what it is right now.

Differences:

  • French people were starving (which led to the Women's March) while Americans were not; rather, Americans were mad that the British put the quartering act and basically forced people to feed/take care of soldiers
  • Specific things that King George and King Louis XVI did made people angry - legal trials being held in Britain rather than the US angered people while King Louis XVI trying to run away angered people

What do you guys think? Were those good? What did you guys do for the essays?
