Interesting octatonic scale used in Radiohead's "Just"

Except Radiohead isn't jazz and does not use jazz techniques, symmetrical pitch collections like the octatonic scale existed before their use in jazz and were appropriated into jazz through the same channels that put them in rock music, and the octatonicism in "Just" is not over a single chord but supported by four chords (that are not related by the same octatonic collection but contain most of the octatonic pitches as chord tones). Ciro Scotto's expansion of Walter Everett's taxonomy of rock's tonal systems seems to offer a better picture of what's going on here.
