Jeremy Renner Joins Amy Adams In Denis Villeneuve's 'Story Of Your Life,' Confirmed For 'Captain America: Civil War'

The only people that kill people are Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead

That's a rather strange sentence.

I agree with you, and this is the reason (among others) I couldn't get into Avengers or anything past that. One thing I really like about LOTR and The Hobbit (to a smaller extent) is that they kill of characters in a way that you feel the world is actually dangerous but they don't desensitize you to the characters' death, for example LOTR and GOT season 1 spoiler. So I think that killing important characters off is a trope where both extremums are bad, but not killing anyone is worse. I watched the Avengers knowing that no one will die and it simply soured the experience. Add onto this the horrible character development of Loki compared to what happened in Thor, the weak dialogue and you have what I think is the most mediocre movie from Marvel. At least in Thor 2 you there's a moment where you think "They actually killed off an important character?" but nope, turns out it was fake, and I'm not even going to see Avengers 2 because I know that it will be the same as the first (I didn't see Iron Man 3 and the 2 Cap movies, for the record)

Since this turned into a wall of text, what I'm trying to say is both you and the commenter before you make a good point, but I'm more with you on that Marvel should start taking more risk with their plots to make their movies interesting again.
