If you truly love star trek, you would watch it anyways. I was able to apply my own trek message to the movie because I realized it was a movie (not the show) and regardless, ITS new STAR TREK (and any Star Trek is better than no Star Trek). That would be no different than people saying TNG sucked because it wasn't TOS (despite the dope ass Picard speeches) , or DS9 sucked because it wasnt the same episodic formula as TNG (DS9 has some of the best episodes, pale moonlight anyone?) and I personally dont like VOYAGER (dont get me started on salamander mutations or the character development of Chakotay) but I still fucking watched it, because its trek, and i love trek (I watched enterprise, even with that gay ass intro, and damnit, SEASON 3 WAS DOPE AS FUCK). EVEN IF VOYAGERS 2 YEARS OF HELL NEVER HAPPENED i enjoyed the hell out of it (seriously, the best of voyager wiped away as a OOPS NEVER HAPPENED MOMENT). I was able to find things in both the new movies I liked. But it doesn't mean it sucked... without JJ we wouldnt even have a new show coming out, BUT THERE IS ONE COMING OUT! ... yeah yeah its going to be on a CBS streaming service and people will say "ILL JUST PIRATE IT" well fuck you, pay the money for a month or so and cancel, dont punish trek because you have a lazy ass boner for not paying for more than 1 or 2 streaming services. YEAH IM DRUNK, i dont give a shit. Trek is too important to me to let some minor bullshit spoil its amazing name. WWQD? huh!?!?!?! would he just say "this universe isnt what i want it to be, i wont participate" NO, Q would enjoy the entertainment regardless of its ignorant mortality. Get off your high horse and enjoy some trek. (even though Q would get on a high horse and talk down to us all because he is a dope as omnipotent being, HE WOULD STILL WATCH INTO DARKNESS) ... fuck you. THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN is you enjoy the small Easter egg reference to MUDD from TOS in the new movie, and GOD DAMNIT, if you love trek as much as me, thats still worth it... you lil bitch.
