You expect me to prove the concept that if you setup the same material conditions as 2016(or worse) and give them the same options (or worse) they wouldn’t choose the same result(or worse)? That’s how history always works, when people feel trapped they go for populist movements, this can either be right wing or left wing. If neoliberalism is in charge then there won’t be a left populism (as we won’t be able to win a primary) and thus right populism will beat neoliberalism. Like it did in the US, like in Poland, like in so many places that don’t have a strong left base.
