I don't believe it. You mean to tell me GRRM will have written thousands of pages of teaching these two characters how to rule, and then by extension hours upon hours of the same thing in the adaptation....only for them to say oh, never mind at the end? What the hell was the point? Does it have any re-readability or re-watchability then?

GRRM has made it clear he is aiming for something you can re-read hundreds of times. He has even said this. I just don't see how there will be any way to ever read a Jon or Dany POV chapter again where they are faced with a critical decision as a leader and not think...who cares they give it up at the end anyway.
