Jon should have Bernie Sanders on the show

no, i mean look it up on reddit or on google, everyone knows Jon Stewart is our version of Walter Cronkite, he is America's most honest newsman and the best source for news.

No, no, no, no. The service Jon Stewart provides is to place important political and social issues in a humorous context so that young people can learn about them without being bored. He has been absolutely critical to developing the opinions of people in this country and fostering a spirit of activism in Millennials, but he's simply not a newsman. A newsman has the laws of journalistic integrity, to present the news in an unbiased format. Stewart has a heavy left bias that is not fit for presenting the news and he's the first to say that. He is nothing like Walter Cronkite.

I think it's because you are both bad mouthing Bernie Sanders and making Jon Stewart look like an asshole by saying he is one of those evil monsters that don't think Bernie Sanders will be president in 2017

I have also not once said anything about Bernie Sanders. I have followed his career for over a decade and always been a huge supporter. I also am not calling Jon Stewart and asshole. Again, you keep bringing up all this name-calling, "asshole" and "evil monster." I can tell you're young - I'm guessing, 14? - but you need to learn that we can and should criticize the people we respect and recognize that we can disagree with them while keeping them in high esteem. He did brush over Bernie Sanders, a two-decade veteran of the Senate, to the degree that it was almost insulting, but at the same time, in all likelihood if you only get your political news from his show, you wouldn't know who he is. And in many shows, Stewart continues to say "no one can stop Clinton," furthering a narrative that only helps her but is not necessarily true. Jon Stewart has political opinions; it's why he has the show in the first place, because his stand-up was heavily political. I love the Daily Show and have followed it for years but it is a big mistake to hold him or anyone to a perfect standard of rightness or wrongness. There aren't "assholes" or "evil monsters" in this world, and if there are they certainly aren't that way for peddling their political biases. If you like Bernie, then read about his voting record, his socialist-populist ethos, his tenure as the mayor of Burlington through his career in DC. The Daily Show has always been one of my favorite shows, certainly my favorite non-fiction show, but is certainly not a sufficient or unbiased source of political information.
