Everything that is run by government is bad (takes more money and does less with it), has no competition for most part, and why would I trust government regulating such a thing? Who would feel safe with all the data being in governments hands, these would lead to such corruption on all levels (isn't it already bad giving your data to Zucc?), just imagine how many things could go south... If you want these things be run by government it has a lot to do with commie china as they actually have a similar thing implemented. Government looking at what people say and do wherever they are. This is not why government exists. You seem like you're fine living in a "deep" state/county?
