just my opinion

Some people are straight up scaredy cats when it comes to anything. They can be neurotic, hypersensitive, extremely anxious, terrified, etc (choose your adjective) most of their waking hours because of how their brain works

so terrified that common sense escapes them, and they need to have their hand held whenever making serious decisions because they are still mentally children and they aren't sure of themselves on anything

these are people who are prime targets for spousal/domestic abuse, scammers, what have you. people to be taken advantage of and without a spine to stand up on

so when something like this happen....so much brain chemicals are flooding their synapses that they are overwhelmed, can't properly assess the facts, and need their hand held to get through the situation. that's why you see these types post problems with obvious solutions, yet sometimes fizzle out and still get the short end of the stick when it comes to revealing the update

just my $0.02. tl;dr: some people are wired to be scaredy cats and are overwhelmed with fear that they don't know up from down
