Do you have to pay child support for a drunken one night stand? (AusLegal actual title, they love to cut right to the chase down there)

That’s assuming the mother doesn’t work. I don’t understand this concept that child support is supposed to support the mother as well. Like let’s say that a one bedroom is 1000 and a two bedroom is 2000 - that’s 1000 that you are counting for child support. That difference should be split, 500 from each parent.

Also I think it’s unfair of you to say “skipping parenting”. He worked in the oil field before they had kids, and more to the point, you’re implying anyone who has kids who do those kinds of jobs is “skipping” being a parent. Being a parent also includes supporting them financially. What are people supposed to do?
