I’m sorry we are all in a difficult time now and I really don’t mean to be antagonistic but you keep doubling down and being argumentative so I will play the game for a bit.

You wrote “don’t be an idiot” before you were told the “speak for yourself”. You also wrote “salaries” and “housing prices” so clearly the context is that you were talking about more than yourself and more about other people and the general public at large. And you were telling others to not be an idiot.

Even if we accept your meaning of “don’t be an idiot” to mean safe hygiene and social isolations, that still wouldn’t make some people’s lives enjoyable. All things I and the other person have said still stand. Even if you try, there are still so many overwhelming things outside our control that make this time decidedly not a good time and a really difficult time for people to enjoy.

I honestly don’t know what I’m trying to do here besides pointing out the flaws in your doubling down and arguments.

Maybe the naivety in me would hope that maybe next time, you would pause for a moment, and have some empathy and sensitivity, before you so myopically assume that many people’s lives would just be more enjoyable if they simply stop being idiots.
