I just won this at an auction for 385$ (incl. BP) - How would you grade it?

Well... I'm not actually a true coin collector (but I do love coins)...

So obviously you'll want to wait for other much more expert insights, on this subreddit, to chime in with their opinion...

But in the meantime...

I did a little bit of googling and it seems to show that you supposedly overpaid for this coin by about 60 dollars?

BUT... If my amateurish googling proves true...

That over payment on your part is pretty much irrelevant in the grand scheme of the coin-collector's universe! It's just 60 bucks...

People often blow 60 bucks going out on a Friday night...

So ya if true... sure it means that you're likely not going to turn over an immediately flip-profit if you try to resell it now.

BUT... the main question now becomes: what do you think of the coin?

Do you really like it?

If so, keep it for yourself, and enjoy it over the years!

NOTE: I actually carry at least one older silver dollar in my pocket everyday--something like a Morgan dollar, or Peace Dollar--just for the fun of it!

So similarly, maybe you can carry this golden-coin in your pocket now and then, as well, for similar reasons? Just for the fun of it, and to show others?

By the way... just as a tangent...

I was wondering:

How big is this $5 gold piece of yours (compared to something like an older silver dollar, or half dollar, or quarter)?

I wasn't able to find too much info about the weight and size dimensions of this coin.

So I'm just trying to picture it in my hand...
