Kaby Lake Build - $520 USD

For certain uses, the 1050 or the 1060 is simply better.

"Better" always has a bit of subjectivity to it.

Yes, the RX480 can post higher framerates than the 1060... but what a lot of people don't mention is that the frame rate dips with the 480 are much more significant than the 1060 -- meaning the 1060 can hold a decent framerate better than the 480 on the low end, even though the 480 can post higher framerates on the top end. The 1060 will hold a solid 40 to 50 at the low end while the 480 will dip into the 30s with some titles.

So, the question can be asked, "do you want the highest framerates possible, or do you want the most steady framerates possible?" The answer should factor into which card you choose.

Point being that the 480 isn't really objectively "better" than the 1060, unless we're only talking about "maximum framerate achieved" or some other singular data point out of the many data points we should be looking at.

They're both wonderful cards, but the 480 is not an absolute 1060-killer like it's made out to be here a lot of times. They're very comparable cards and neither would disappoint.
