I am in a deep red state and let me tell you, many conservatives and hard core republicans think the Democrats push communist policies already. Of course, they couldn't be further from the truth but the "moderate" claim is getting us no where. Instead, we are compromising in the middle before we even get to the negotiating table and pushing the Overton Window further to the right.

And if you think going left will "torpedo" the democrats, then what do you call our current situation?
