It’s brilliant! When I first came out I wouldn’t hold hands with my then girlfriend because the abuse was astonishing - and for our male gay friends was even worse and this was 2006. Our “pride” was a load of stalls in a car park by the gay club but we were all so proud it finally happened. Now the city has a parade and everything.

I’m back in the closet in my rl because what strides we’ve made with gay and lesbian hasn’t quite become the same for bi or pan (still seen as predators by straight people or “not actually gay just greedy and confused so I simply can’t be arsed”. Hopefully more action by Labour like this helps with that stigma! Hopefully this is more than just a token action
