That kid was looking for a new friend.

You are something else. I work for a provincial government in Canada as a wildlife biologist. I have numerous friends across the countries who are game wardens who are first hand investigators on wildlife attacks. I have seen internal documentation shared with them to me which I am not able to release. My friend who is a game warden in Alberta was on the scene of the Swan Hills, AB mauling 1 hour after it happened. They found the victim heavily consumed by the bear. I’m sorry that I cannot pull up any news articles to appease you. However as something of a wildlife specialist, I can confidently say that predatory attacks by black bears can and do happen, and all of the evidence at the Swan Hills, AB point to that.

To appease you, here is an article from a fatal black bear mauling that occurred in 2015 in Fort Mcmurray, AB
