You know what? The end of segregation was barely 50 years ago.... Racial tension still exists. If you were white 60 years ago and in your 20s it means youre about 80 now and you raised children who are probably 50-60 years old now.... thats a lot of old white people that may or may not believe segregation was a wonderful thing. If you were a minority during these times youve most likely suffered trauma .... Its very hard to forgive, forget, and trust a nation built upon the subjugation of minorities.... Historically there have been numerous public executions of persons of color that were celebrated publicly by members of white communities. My point being if u are taught that throughtout 240 years of our countries history that minorities have been manipulated, taken advantage of, and laughed at sadisticly.... Now when this is supposed to be a more modern age we feel justice should be served as swiftly as it was whenever any of our ancestors were accused and judged (not even taken to trial in most cases).... I really dont support post like this because most of the time the OP never takes into consideration how old our planet is and the way things are werent always this way....
