The site's gotten worse.
the top blue bar is huge completely wasted space, just logo and a pair of weather widgets.

Site loads hella slow, and abysmally fails modern compliance/speed tests: https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/chrbl5/ktvz.com with numerous issues including lack of caching, slow css, external js references, etc.
This includes a GIGANTIC 600+kb assets like http://static.lakana.com/npg-ktvz-media-us-east-1/photo/2016/08/22/KTVZ%20Logo_3395629_ver1.0.png which tries loading into every page. This is just bad webdev and a lack of QA i think. The site loads terrible on mobile, broken responsive elements, etc.
generally I find it hard to find latest and local news.
