I won’t lie I’m that guy sometimes. I think it’s the stereotype of the politics “you people” bring. That all Californians wanted to get away from the progressive liberalism and crime just to bring their progressive liberal mentality to Oregon and keep voting for the same policies they are running from. We’re seeing the same effect to Idaho, and Texas and countless other more conservative states. I don’t have a problem with transplants. I was born here and my dad always said Oregon’s just a suburb of California. I never thought anything of it till about 40+ years later and now see it. Portland is the new LA, Bend is the Nor Cal and progressivism is the new norm. Politics aside, the valley is getting warmer and from a climate standpoint we’re getting similar too.
