Then I skim through the profile, I tend to only actually read word-for-word the first and last sections. Then I'll skim through the rest. A lot of their initial chance of getting a response back lies within their opening message.

Dealbreakers * Kids. (Although thank you for mentioning it in your profile, it would have came up later and have been a dealbreaker) * If their life seems totally dull (an example being: one of their main topics about what they do is how they go to work? Congratulations! You have a job! What do you do outside of it? Exception being that the job is inherently interesting. Or you exude some sort of passion about it.) * They talk about how they are "a nice guy who will treat a woman right" * They moved here from a stereotypically conservative state * When they talk about their favorite books and don't list any specifics, but they rather list genres. * Their name (includes their name being said in the first message) * Any talk of how much they like to travel and want a travel companion. I'm broke as fuck, I'm not going to be able to afford to go to Machu Picchu with you. * A picture of them petting or with a tiger, lion, cheetah, etc. (Exception being that it was taken from outside the cage, or that they volunteer with them consistently. Not the one trip to South Africa that they paid 10k in order to volunteer with the animals.) * A single sentence filled out in the majority of the sections * Having them say they are "working on going back to school" or if they are working at Whole Foods without any chance of them trying to achieve more with their life * Talking about how they lift or how frequently they go to the gym * Gym mirror selfie. Gym pictures in general.

Things that sway me in favor of them * A picture with their own cat, dog, or other pet * Some sort of joke made in their profile that got a giggle out of me * Them being attractive as hell * Them being clearly passionate about something I am also passionate about * Other common interests
