Now, i now ill probably get down vote bombed for saying this but alot of the people in the comments are being very nasty about this on both sides. Now, LAOP, i feel bad for your situation and hope it gets resolved in the correct manner but all of the people saying that we live in a culture where the victim gets punished dont understand how real life works. No matter what in any case of lawful justice in any court there will always be a percentage of innocent people that get convicted for things they did not do, thats just a fact of life. And you saying that punishing false claims should not be a thing is not helping because you are just giving an opening for real criminals to get away with ruining someones life, and all you have to do is seach up any false rape rulings to see how badly the innocent was villanised and had their lives ruined. There are certain things we can do such as in LAOP's case make the rape kit a more prevalent matter in court than testimony, but making it to where someone can destroy someone elses life with ease for the sake of actual cases is not the answer.
